More than a hair salon, our "Beyond The Hair" programs are designed to serve youth, adults, and seniors in our community who have experienced unfavorable circumstances or conditions. Our programs offer support through mentoring, activities, and outreach. We collaborate with human service agencies whose focus is on awareness and prevention issues such as domestic violence, breast cancer, mental health, and substance abuse.
Our "Beyond the Hair - Youth Mentor Program" is designed to serve girls in grades 6 - 12. To be eligible for the program, youth must be referred by a human service agency, local church or school, or by a concerned citizen. Mentees enrolled in the program will receive free basic hair care and beauty services, attend self-hair care and empowerment workshops, and will volunteer to work our special events.
Beyond the Hair - Youth Mentor Program will begin TBD

In honor of our founder's mother "Mattie (Sister) Ealy", Mattie's Mobile Services is an outreach program that provides basic hair care services to African American women residing in healthcare facilities.
Mattie's Story
Mattie became ill at an early age. She suffered many health ailments and had a major stroke at the age of 67, forcing the family to place her in a skilled nursing facility. Her daughters, Theresa and Linda, realized there was a need for hair care for African American women residing in healthcare facilities. The salon on-site allowed Mattie’s daughters the opportunity to provide hair care services for their mother.
Mattie Mobile Services will be available in September 2023.
